About the Chef
Fátima Juárez es la fundadora de Komal, el primer molino en Los Ángeles dedicado exclusivamente al maíz nativo mexicano. Trabaja con diversas variedades de maíz que provienen directamente de comunidades rurales de México. Le interesa profundamente no solo cocinar con este maíz, sino también compartir su historia, su biodiversidad y lo que representa culturalmente. Fátima fue aprendiz del Chef Cetina de Chichen Itza y Holbox, y fue sous chef en Damian con el Chef Cervantes. En junio de 2025, Komal recibió la distinción Bib Gourmand de la Guía Michelin.

Arrival
Please allow time to arrive early to find parking. Classes have a 5-10 minute late window but will start promptly after that time.

Dress Code
We highly encourage that attendees wear closed-toe shoes when attending an active cooking class.
